In 2004, I created 4fifteen clothing because I realized that I could use my graphic design skills to create tshirts and clothing that represented San Francisco in a clean and quirky way… exactly the stuff that I wanted to wear, myself. My wife and I set up booths and sold our goods at local street fairs and events around the Bay Area, we sent out linesheets and worked with Buyers at streetwear/clothing boutiques to get wholesale orders, and pitched 4fifteen to and did interviews with blogs, media and social media to promote the brand. Over the life of the brand, we’ve sold many thousands of units.
4fifteen has been featured in music videos, tv shows, and photoshoots. We’ve sponsored the Asian American Film Festival/CAAMfest, and many other local events.
